Evanston Academy needed a reliable fix for corroded point-of-use valves to maintain performance and avoid scalding.
Customer Snapshot
Market: Education - Public Schools
Application: Domestic Hot Water System
System Type: Thermostatic Mixing Valve
Challenge: Corroded point-of-use valves with consistent cross flow
The Challenge
Cincinnati Public Schools faced persistent issues with corroded point-of-use mixing valves, which are required by Ohio plumbing code to prevent student exposure to 140°F water. Across the district’s 66 buildings—each containing 30–50 faucets and totaling more than 3,000 fixtures—the existing valves were failing frequently and could not be cleaned or rebuilt.
The Solution
Cincinnati Public Schools turned to the LFUSG-CS, an advanced thermostatic mixing valve designed specifically for serviceability and field repair. Plumbers removed the old valves and installed the new system, completing each replacement in just 5–7 minutes thanks to simplified connections and braided supply lines.
